How to Write a Reddit Reply From Post and Comment Context
Use AGNURA Write a Reply on Reddit: load post and visible non-promoted comments, review, insert into the comment box, and post yourself. Rules sidebar is not scraped.
You will be able to draft a Reddit comment from the post and visible comments, review it, insert it into the comment box, and post it yourself.
AGNURA AI Assistant adds Write a Reply on Reddit comment composers. It can load post text and visible non-promoted comments (best-effort), call managed AI with your Reddit reply prompt, then wait for insert. It never posts for you. It does not scrape the subreddit About/rules sidebar.

Prerequisites
- Desktop Chrome, signed into Reddit in the same profile as AGNURA
- AGNURA installed; Activate Reddit on (Settings → General)
- Signed in to AGNURA with AI credits remaining
- Non-empty Reddit reply prompt (Settings → Reddit Prompts)
- Optional: Knowledge base in General settings
- A Reddit post page with a comment/reply composer open
Refresh Reddit after changing Activate Reddit if the AGNURA AI control does not appear.

- Open the Reddit post and click into a comment or reply box.
- Scroll so useful comments are visible if you want that context.
- Open AGNURA AI → Write a Reply.
- Confirm Post and Comments; optional What I want to say.
- Click Generate Reply, edit for accuracy and community fit, then insert.
- You click Reddit’s comment/submit control yourself.
Exact steps
1. Open a comment composer on the post
- Go to the Reddit post page.
- Click into the main comment box or a reply box under a comment.
- Confirm the AGNURA AI control appears in the composer action bar (after Reddit’s formatting-options control inside the shadow DOM).
If it is missing: Activate Reddit on, reload the extension if needed, and hard-refresh Reddit. See AGNURA Not Showing or Not Generating: Troubleshooting.
2. Load the discussion you care about
Before opening Write a Reply:
- Skim the post yourself.
- Expand and scroll so relevant comments are in the DOM.
- Remember: only visible non-promoted comments are candidates for context. Ads/promoted units are skipped.
Subreddit rules in the right rail are not included. Read them yourself before you post.
3. Open Write a Reply
- Click the AGNURA AI control.
- Choose Write a Reply.
Nothing is sent to managed AI until you click Generate Reply in the modal.
4. Confirm post and comment context

5. Generate, then edit like a community member
- Click Generate Reply.
- Wait for Generated comment (hidden until success).
- Edit with this pass:

6. Insert and post yourself
- Insert into the comment editor (Lexical single write; clipboard fallback if replace is unclear).
- Read the comment in Reddit once more.
- You click Reddit’s comment/submit control.
Insert is manual. Generate does not auto-post.
7. Optional: Rewrite Reply or Voice to Text
