Install AGNURA From the Chrome Web Store
Step-by-step guide to install AGNURA AI Assistant from the Chrome Web Store, pin it, confirm permissions, and verify the first popup open.
Your goal is simple: install AGNURA AI Assistant from the Chrome Web Store, pin it, and confirm the popup opens on a normal website.
Use the official listing (item id fimpmgmbhieipbobhceagalfginendik). The public URL slug may still say AppiFire from the earlier product name. That is the same extension. AGNURA is the current brand.
For what the product does after install, read What Is AGNURA?. For the permission prompt, read Why AGNURA Requests activeTab, tabs, scripting, storage, tts, and Site Access.
Prerequisites
Before you install:
- Google Chrome on desktop (or a Chromium browser that can install from the Chrome Web Store)
- Permission to add extensions on that Chrome profile (some work laptops block the store)
- A normal network connection to reach the Chrome Web Store
- Optional but useful: a second clean Chrome profile if you want a test install without mixing company policies
You do not need Node.js, a developer account, or AGNURA credits for install. Sign in later when you want AI generate or rewrite features.
Direct answer
- Open the AGNURA Chrome Web Store listing.
- Click Add to Chrome (wording may be Add extension).
- Confirm the permission dialog.
- Pin AGNURA on the toolbar.
- Open a normal https page and click the icon to open the popup.
If those steps work, install is done.
Exact steps
1. Open the live listing
Go to:
https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/appifire-ai-assistant-gma/fimpmgmbhieipbobhceagalfginendik
Or click Add to Chrome from agnura.com.
Confirm you see AGNURA AI Assistant (or the transitional AppiFire AI Assistant name on older listing text). Same item id means same product.
2. Add the extension
- Click Add to Chrome.
- Read the permission summary Chrome shows.
- Confirm to install.
Chrome installs the package into the current profile only. Other profiles need their own install.
3. Pin the icon
- Click the puzzle-piece Extensions icon in the Chrome toolbar.
- Find AGNURA AI Assistant.
- Click the pin so the icon stays visible.
Pinning is optional, but it makes the popup easy to open for website research.
4. Confirm version (recommended)
- Open
chrome://extensions. - Find AGNURA AI Assistant.
- Note the version number.
You can compare that number with AGNURA Changelog. Store updates can lag the newest source tag by a short time.
5. First useful open
- Open a normal https (or http) website in a tab.
- Click the AGNURA icon to open the popup.
- Wait for analysis to finish or show results (or a clear error line).
Do not expect full analysis on:
chrome://pages- The Chrome Web Store page itself
- Many PDF-only or special viewer pages where script injection is limited
6. Optional settings after install
Open the gear / Settings in the popup when you are ready:
- General: paste AGNURA sign-in and credits and choose a model if you want AI drafts
- Activate Gmail / LinkedIn / WhatsApp / Reddit: leave on only for channels you use
- Speak selected text: leave off until you want it
- Prompts / Templates: edit later; defaults are enough for a first look
You can research websites and run the rules-based SEO report without a key. AI generate and rewrite need sign-in and credits.
Clean-profile install (when something looks wrong)
Use this when a company profile blocks extensions, an old AppiFire install looks stuck, or menus never appear.
- In Chrome, create a new profile (or use a personal profile you control).
- Open the store listing above in that profile.
- Install again with Add to Chrome.
- Pin the icon.
- Test on a public https site.
If install works only on the clean profile, the first profile’s admin policy or extension allowlist is the blocker, not AGNURA itself.
What success looks like
Install worked when all of these are true:
| Check | Expected result |
|---|---|
| Extensions page | AGNURA AI Assistant is listed and enabled |
| Toolbar | Icon is available (pinned or under the Extensions menu) |
| Popup | Opens without a blank forever-spinner on a normal https page |
| Channels (optional) | With Activate toggles on, Gmail / LinkedIn / WhatsApp Web / Reddit show AGNURA controls after you reload those tabs |
| Send | Nothing sends by itself; you still review drafts |
Limits and non-goals
This guide does not cover:
- Loading an unpacked
dist/build for developers (that is a local build flow, not the store path) - Guaranteed approval time for Chrome Web Store updates
- Managed AGNURA creditss or an AGNURA cloud account in the current product
- Auto-send of email or social messages
If your organization blocks the Chrome Web Store, you need IT to allow this extension id or another approved install path.
Common install problems
| Problem | What to try |
|---|---|
| Add to Chrome is missing or disabled | You are not on desktop Chrome, or the profile blocks store installs |
| Permission dialog worries you | Read the permissions guide and privacy summary before confirming |
| Icon missing after install | Open the Extensions menu and pin AGNURA |
| Popup empty on chrome:// pages | Switch to a normal website tab |
| Old name still says AppiFire | Update from the store or reinstall; item id stays the same |
| Channel menus missing | Turn on Activate toggles in Settings → General, then reload the site tab |
