How to Export Website Research as JSON
Export AGNURA website analysis as JSON: Copy JSON vs Download JSON, what the file contains, how it differs from SEO JSON and Apollo CSV, and how to handle contact data safely.
You will be able to export the last website analysis from AGNURA as structured JSON, keep it on your machine, and handle contact fields under your own data policy.
Export is local. Copy goes to your clipboard. Download saves a file such as website-analysis-{domain}.json. AGNURA does not upload that file to AGNURA servers when you click Copy or Download.
Hub: What Is Website Intelligence for Sales and Outreach?. First run: Run Your First Website Analysis.
When this applies
- You finished (or loaded) analysis on a public http(s) tab
- You want a snapshot for CRM notes, a spreadsheet, or a script you control
- You need to share research with a teammate without re-opening the live site
Prerequisites
- Desktop Chrome with AGNURA installed
- A completed analysis in the popup (
lastresult present so Copy/Download are enabled) - A place to store the file that matches your company’s data rules
You do not need AGNURA credits to export analysis JSON.
Direct answer
- Open the prospect site and run analysis (or open the popup so a cached result loads).
- Confirm the popup shows the research you want.
- Click Copy JSON (clipboard) or Download JSON (file).
- Store the file under your data policy.
- Treat emails/phones inside the JSON as sensitive.
- Do not paste exports into public chats or untrusted tools.
What you export (website analysis)
Copy JSON and Download JSON on the main analysis view serialize the full last AnalysisResult (pretty-printed JSON).
Typical fields include:
| Area | Examples in the payload |
|---|---|
| Page | tabUrl, domain, pageTitle, metaDescription, optional siteLogoUrl, optional pageTextExcerpt |
| Stack | platform, theme |
| Size hints | productCount, pages (sitemap stats) |
| Channels | chat, social, marketingStack |
| Outreach cues | support, contact, structuredBusiness |
| Launch hints | launchedApprox, optional age lines/notes |
| Run meta | errors, optional cache flags (servedFromCache, cacheStoredAt, cacheValidUntil) |
Download filename pattern: website-analysis-{domain}.json (or unknown if domain is missing).
Not the same export
| Export | Where | File / output |
|---|---|---|
| Website analysis JSON | Main analysis popup | website-analysis-….json or clipboard |
| SEO Analysis JSON | SEO report view Download JSON | seo-audit-{domain}.json (full SEO report, including passed[]) |
| SEO PDF | SEO report Download PDF | Styled PDF of the SEO UI |
| Apollo CSV | Apollo view Download CSV | All stored Apollo companies (separate store) |
This article is about website research JSON. For SEO file steps, see Run and Export an AGNURA SEO Analysis.
Step-by-step
1. Capture a fresh or acceptable snapshot
- Focus the prospect tab.
- Open AGNURA.
- Wait for analysis, or use reload / run for a live pass if cache is stale.
Cached results can be reused for about one hour. Exporting a cached row exports that snapshot, including cache metadata when present.
Expected result: Popup shows platform, contacts, and other rows you care about. Copy/Download icons are enabled.
2. Choose Copy vs Download
| Action | Best when | Behavior |
|---|---|---|
| Copy JSON | Paste into a note, ticket, or editor | Writes pretty JSON to the clipboard |
| Download JSON | Keep a file in Downloads / a research folder | Saves website-analysis-{domain}.json via the browser download UI |
Expected result: Snackbar/status confirms Copied or Downloaded.
3. Open and spot-check the JSON
Open the file in a text editor. Confirm:
tabUrl/domainmatch the prospectcontact.emails/phonesmatch what you verified on the siteerrorsand cache flags are understood- You are not looking at an SEO-only file by mistake
Expected result: You trust the snapshot enough to file it.
4. Move it into your workflow (optional)
Examples that stay under your control:
- Attach to a CRM note
- Import selected fields into a spreadsheet
- Feed a private script or webhook you operate (separate from AGNURA’s optional Add Lead path)
AGNURA’s analysis export does not auto-sync to a cloud CRM.
Expected result: Only the fields you need leave your Downloads folder, under policy.
5. Apply the data-handling warning
Exported JSON can include:
- Business or personal-looking emails and phones
- Addresses / location hints
- Page excerpt text
- URLs and stack guesses
You are responsible for lawful use, retention, and sharing (GDPR, CCPA, and similar may apply). Do not use exports to harass, spam, or phish. See product limitations and AGNURA Privacy in Plain Language.
Expected result: Storage location, access list, and deletion plan are clear.
Common failures and fixes
| Problem | Likely cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Copy/Download disabled | No analysis loaded yet | Run analysis on a normal http(s) tab |
| File looks empty of contacts | Site hid contacts; fetches failed | Open contact page; re-analyze; contact guide |
| Stale emails in the file | One-hour cache snapshot | Live reload, then export again |
| Wrong domain in filename | Tab was not the prospect | Switch tab; re-run; download again |
| Needed SEO issues, got analysis JSON | Different button | Use SEO view Download JSON |
| Needed Apollo rows | Different feature | Use Apollo Download CSV |
| Clipboard paste failed | Permission / focus issue | Use Download JSON instead |
Verification checklist
- Analysis matches the intended URL
- Live reload done if you need fresh contacts
- Copied or downloaded successfully
- Spot-checked
domain, contacts, anderrors - File stored under your data policy
- Not pasted into a public or untrusted channel
- Retention/deletion plan noted for sensitive fields
When to escalate
- Legal asks for a retention schedule: involve compliance before bulk exports
- Sharing outside your company: strip contacts or use a redacted note
- Automating imports: keep keys and endpoints under your security review (Add Lead webhook is a separate, opt-in path)
How AGNURA helps this job
| Step | Without AGNURA | With AGNURA |
|---|---|---|
| Capture structured research | Manual notes | One JSON object from the last analysis |
| Move off the browser | Retype fields | Copy or download locally |
| Keep SEO detail | Separate audit tool | Separate SEO JSON/PDF when you open SEO Analysis |
| Keep Apollo lists | Manual CSV | Apollo CSV export (different store) |
Compared with common alternatives
| Approach | Fit |
|---|---|
| Screenshots only | Fast; hard to pipe into tools |
| Enrichment CSV exports | Different data job; still verify website claims |
| Full-site crawler exports | Scale; heavier setup |
| AGNURA analysis JSON | Local snapshot of active-tab research |
Limits (product-true)
- Exports the last loaded analysis in the popup, not a history of every URL
- Does not email the file to AGNURA or sync multi-device by itself
- Heuristic fields can be wrong; export does not make them true
- Contact data may be incomplete or outdated
- Not a substitute for CRM permissions or DPA paperwork
- Distinct from SEO JSON/PDF and Apollo CSV
